How we chose the properties in this guide

What counts as a casino hotel here
A property qualifies only when a licensed casino is part of, attached to, or operated on the same complex as the hotel. A hotel that merely sits near an unrelated casino does not qualify. Adult gaming centres and bingo halls are not treated as casino hotels.
Why Cheshire and the Wirral needed a wider map
Open sources checked for this edition — including operator sites, local licensing material and the Gambling Commission premises register — did not show a currently trading hotel with an on-premises casino in Cheshire or on the Wirral. Genting Casino Wirral operates without hotel rooms. Rather than invent or pad entries, the guide widens to neighbouring Greater Manchester and the M6 corridor toward Birmingham and Coventry, and states that widening in the title and homepage.
Ordering basis
Entries are ordered by an editorial blend of facility range, apparent scale of the gaming offer from operator materials, and how tightly hotel and casino share one property. The order is not an official ranking and nobody paid for position.
- Genting Hotel at Resorts World Birmingham — widest integrated leisure campus.
- DoubleTree at Coventry Building Society Arena with Grosvenor Casino — shared arena campus with major poker events.
- voco Manchester City Centre with Napoleons Casino — closest city hotel–casino pair to Cheshire.
Evidence rules
Facts are taken from official venue pages, the Gambling Commission register and established reporting. Numbers that could not be corroborated (exact machine counts, live rates, changing restaurant names) are omitted. Licence account numbers are linked so readers can verify them.
